About the Medicine Program

What is the Integrated Medicine Program?

The Integrated Medicine Program is the new medicine benefit for Foundever employees. It is designed to make sure the medicines you need are ready before you need them. The Integrated Medicine Program has two components: MedEnsure and FlexMed.

What is MedEnsure?

MedEnsure allows you to get your full-year regimen for essential medicines—not charged to your FlexMed allowance. To avail, select “Request Medicines” on foundever.medgrocer.com and upload your prescription. You will receive an SMS when your medicines are on the way. Most medicines will be delivered within 1-4 working days for Metro Manila sites and 2-7 working days for non-Metro Manila sites.  Visit foundever.medgrocer.com/medensure to check what’s covered and what’s required to avail.

What is FlexMed?

FlexMed allows employees to buy up to 2.5K worth of ethical drugs per quarter from any pharmacy. You may choose to order medicines online or buy from any pharmacy and have your purchase reimbursed. Visit foundever.medgrocer.com/flexmed to check what’s covered and what’s required to avail.

Until when can we avail of the benefits of the medicine program?

The Integrated Medicine Program will run from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023. You may avail of the Integrated Medicine Program for as long as you are an active Foundever employee covered by Maxicare.

Does the Integrated Medicine Program have a digital platform? Where can I access it?

You can access MedGrocer’s online platform anytime, anywhere.

Will MedEnsure or FlexMed consume my yearly Maxicare medical coverage?

MedEnsure or FlexMed requests will not be deducted from your Maxicare outpatient medical allowance or your HMO maximum benefit limit.

Eligibility

Am I eligible for MedEnsure and FlexMed?

You are eligible for MedEnsure and FlexMed if you are an active member of Maxicare and an active employee of Foundever. For any inquiries on the status of your Maxicare membership, you may approach the Maxicare CSS onsite.

Are my dependents eligible for MedEnsure and FlexMed?

Only Foundever employees are eligible for MedEnsure and FlexMed.

I’m the principal. Can I use my medicine benefit for someone else?

You may only use MedEnsure and FlexMed for medicines prescribed to you.

MedEnsure: Requesting Meds

How do I request unlimited medicines?

To request medicines:

  • Select "Request Medicines" on foundever.medgrocer.com
  • Upload a photo of your prescription
  • Search for and add your medicines to cart
  • Answer the health survey
  • Submit your request
You will receive an SMS on the status of your request within the next working day.
What medicines are covered under MedEnsure?

MedEnsure covers prescribed essential medicines including ethical drugs, over-the-counter drugs, and vitamins and supplements used to treat chronic conditions. You may check if your medicine is covered in MedEnsure by searching the formulary on foundever.medgrocer.com/medensure. You may also submit a request and we’ll let you know if your medicine is covered.

Can I choose the brand of medicine I will receive?

Value brands will be dispensed when available.

Do I need a prescription to request medicines?

Yes. A valid prescription is required for your request to be processed. The prescription must:

  • Be named to you,
  • Contain all the medicines requested for (including over-the-counter drugs and vitamins),
  • Contain doctor’s name and license number,
  • Be issued by a Maxicare-accredited doctor,
  • Have been issued within one (1) year from upload date\*, and
  • Include molecule or brand name, dose, form, treatment duration or daily intake instructions.

\*Prescriptions for antibiotics, antivirals, and other anti-infective medicines should be dated within one (1) month from upload date.

How many prescriptions can I upload per request?

You may upload as many prescriptions as you want. You can upload a maximum of six photos per request. In case you have more prescriptions, feel free to make a new request.

Do I have to surrender my original prescription?

No. Only an uploaded copy of your prescription is required for your request to be processed.

Can I decide the quantity of medicines I will receive?

MedGrocer may adjust the quantity you will receive for certain medicines based on your prescription, standard clinical practice guidelines, and our medical team's clinical judgment.

Why did I not receive the total quantity of medicine I requested?

To ensure your health and safety, our medical team may adjust the quantity of your medicine request based on our best clinical judgment and standard clinical practice guidelines.

How would I know if my request went through?

You will receive an SMS on the status of your request within the next working day. If you do not receive an SMS from MedGrocer within two working days, email us at foundever.med@medgrocer.com.

What do I do if my request was not approved?

The SMS you receive will contain information on how to resolve the issue with your request. Once the issue is resolved, you may submit a new request.

How do I modify or cancel my request?

To prevent miscommunication and minimize inaccuracies, requests are considered final upon submission. For any revisions, reply CANCEL to MedGrocer’s confirmation SMS and submit a new request.

I received a new prescription for my maintenance medicine. How can I avail of the medicines for my new prescription?

You may submit a request and upload a photo of your new prescription.

How do I cancel refills for medicines I no longer need?

You may email us the list of medicines you wish to cancel at foundever.med@medgrocer.com. You may also book a free teleconsult with our doctors at mdgr.cr/FNDRefills to update your refills.

What is prescription renewal? How does automatic prescription renewal work?

A prescription is renewed when a doctor issues a new prescription to replace an outdated or fully consumed prescription. Usually, patients are required to return to their doctor to get a renewed prescription. Automatic prescription renewal is a feature of MedEnsure that lets employees enjoy reduced doctor visits. Employees only need to request medicines once and MedGrocer’s doctors will facilitate outbound teleconsult to make sure you get your medicines on time.

How often do I need to take a health survey?

You need to take a health survey whenever you submit a request for medicines.

Can I request medicines on weekends?

You can request anytime through the website.

How can I view the status of my request?

You will receive an SMS when your medicine is already on the way. You can also email foundever.med@medgrocer.com to know the status of your order.

I have a prescription but I can’t understand my doctor’s handwriting. How can I request for my medicine?

You may book a free teleconsult with our MedGrocer doctors at mdgr.cr/FNDRefills. Our doctors can help update your prescription so you may request your medicine.

MedEnsure: Receiving Medicines

When will I receive my medicines?

Most medicines will be delivered within 1-4 working days for Metro Manila sites and 2-7 working days for non-Metro Manila sites after request.

How do I know when my medicines are ready?

You will receive an SMS when your medicines are on the way.

Can my medicines be delivered to my home?

We deliver to your company sites nationwide.

Can I ask someone else to pick up my medicines for me?

Medicines must be received by you or your authorized representative. If you cannot personally receive your medicines, please ask your authorized representative to present a copy of your valid ID to our courier upon receipt.

Proactive Refill

What medicines will be proactively refilled?

Maintenance medicines will be proactively refilled. Medicines for acute conditions will not be refilled.

How does proactive refill work?

MedGrocer may provide proactive refills of about one to six months' worth of medicines for selected maintenance medicines. To ensure patient safety, MedGrocer may, at its own discretion, require employees to attend a free teleconsult or submit a prescription issued within the last 90 days prior to processing employees' refills.

FlexMed Cashless: Ordering

What medicines are covered under FlexMed?

All prescribed ethical drugs are covered under FlexMed. Ethical drugs are drugs that require a prescription to be purchased and are used to treat serious conditions. To ensure that your medicine purchase is covered by FlexMed, order online through foundever.medgrocer.com/flexmed/order. Your order total will be deducted from your FlexMed allowance and you will not be required to cash out. If you cannot find your medicines, you may send your prescription to foundever.med@medgrocer.com. We will let you know if your medicine is covered.

How do I order medicines online?

To order medicines online:

  • Select “Order Cashless” on foundever.medgrocer.com
  • Upload a photo of your prescription
  • Add medicines to your cart and indicate the quantity you wish to order
  • Submit your order
Do I need to cash out?

FlexMed orders do not require cash-out.

When will I receive my order?

Most orders will be delivered within 1-4 working days for Metro Manila sites and 2-7 working days for non-Metro Manila sites. You will receive an SMS when your medicines are on the way.

FlexMed Reimbursement: Claiming Reimbursements

How do I claim reimbursements for my medicine purchases?

To claim reimbursements:

  • Select “Upload Receipts” on foundever.medgrocer.com
  • Upload photos of your official receipts and prescriptions
  • Submit your original receipts in a sealed envelope at your site
Do I have to surrender my prescription?

You are not required to surrender an original copy of your prescription. However, physical copies of your original receipts are required for your reimbursement claim to be processed. Please submit these documents in a sealed envelope at your site.

How much can I have reimbursed?

You may be reimbursed for up to Php 2.5K per quarter for Version 2 and 3 employees and Php 10K per year for Version 1 employees.

Which pharmacies can I buy medicines from to be eligible for reimbursement?

You can buy medicines from any pharmacy. Make sure to ask for an official receipt so that your purchase may be reimbursed.

I can't find my purchased items on the dropdown list.

If you can't find your purchased items in the dropdown list, check if a "Value Brand" option is available. If no "Value Brand" option is available, select “Other medicines”.

Do I need a prescription to request for reimbursements?

Yes. A valid prescription is required to process reimbursement claims.

What is a valid receipt?

A valid receipt is any official receipt issued by a BIR-registered pharmacy.

What is a valid prescription?

A valid prescription must:

  • Be named to you,
  • Contain all the medicines requested for (including over-the-counter drugs and vitamins),
  • Contain doctor’s name and license number,
  • Be issued by a Maxicare-accredited doctor,
  • Have been issued within one (1) year from upload date\*, and

How many receipts can I reimburse per transaction?

You may upload as many receipts as you want. You can  upload a maximum of six photos per request. In case you have more receipts, feel free to make a new request.

How do I know if my reimbursement request is approved?

You will receive an SMS verifying your reimbursement claim by the next working day. If you do not receive an SMS from MedGrocer within two working days, please email us at foundever.med@medgrocer.com with your employee ID, name, and FlexMed Reimbursement Reference Number.

How long is the processing time for reimbursements?

Most approved reimbursement claims can be received within 10-20 working days after you have submitted the physical copies of your receipts. Please submit your physical receipts on the same day as your online reimbursement to receive your reimbursement as soon as possible.

I lost my receipt. Can I still request for reimbursement?

Physical copies of your receipts are required for your reimbursement claim to be processed.

I submitted a reimbursement claim and ordered medicines online at the same time. Will both of my transactions be deducted from my FlexMed allowance?

Your order value will be deducted from your FlexMed allowance before your reimbursement claim. If your reimbursement claim exceeds your remaining FlexMed allowance after ordering, you will only be reimbursed for the amount remaining in your FlexMed allowance.

Special Requests

Can I request medicines through other channels outside of the website?

MedGrocer’s ordering process has been streamlined in order to fulfill your requests. Please submit your request through the website for your convenience.

Can I request one year's worth of medicines?

Clinical practice guidelines only allow up to one to six months’ worth of medicines to be dispensed at a time.

Can I advance my next quarter's FlexMed allowance to this quarter?

You may only use up to Php 2.5K per quarter under FlexMed if you are a Version 2 or Version 3 employee.

Can I have my reimbursement transferred to me outside of the list of reimbursement options?

For security reasons, reimbursements may only be transferred through the options provided.

Can I have my reimbursement sent to an account that is not mine?

To minimize errors, your reimbursement may only be transferred to an account named to you.

Can you deliver my reimbursement to my office in cash or check?

Your reimbursement may only be transferred through the options provided.

Returns

What is your return policy?

All products sold on MedGrocer are subject to quality checks by our purchasing, storage, assembly, and delivery teams. Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your medicines are damaged upon delivery, you may refuse to accept the medicines.

On a case-to-case basis, we can process requests to return the medicines within seven days upon delivery. Please make sure that you keep your delivery receipt and the medicines you want to return.

What products will you accept for returns?

We will replace damaged or wrongly dispensed medicines.

Can I return an item after seven days?

Any problems encountered seven days after the delivery may not be accommodated under our Return Policy. We highly encourage you to review and inspect your medicines upon delivery so that our courier could immediately facilitate the return or exchange request.

How long is the processing time for returns?

In Metro Manila, return orders are processed within 2-3 working days. For non-Metro Manila sites, return orders are processed within ten working days.

Privacy

What information do you share?

Only the pharmacists processing your orders will have access to your medical information to ensure your medicines are properly dispensed. If you are an employee of our partner company, your orders are shared with your employers and healthcare providers to process medicine requests, payments, and reimbursement claims. We may use anonymized data for analytics to improve our services or collaborate with our partners.
